The theme for the 2023 Summer Reading Program (SRP) is All Together Now, focusing on kindness, friendship, and working together. Children ages 3 and up, teens, and adults who read at least 60 minutes each week will be entered to win weekly raffle prizes. Those who read 960 minutes (16 hours) by the end of the 8-week program will be entered to win the grand prize for their age group. If you would like to participate, download the Beanstack Tracker App and register for the 2023 SRP to log your reading time.

The SRP Kick-off is Friday, June 23, but you can start logging your time early! Get on Beanstack now and start logging. You can use this time towards the grand prize goal of 960 minutes.

Music in My Pockets: Family Fun in Folk Music
Presented by Jeff Warner
Thursday, June 29 at 5:30 PM

Singing games, accessible "pocket instruments" like spoons and dancing puppets, tall tales, funny songs, old songs, and songs kids teach each other in the playground - all "traditional" in that they have been passed down the generations by word of mouth - will be seen, heard and learned. We will revisit 1850 or 1910 in a New England town, with families gathered around the kitchen hearth, participating in timeless, hearty entertainment: a glimpse into how America amused itself before electricity. This program is recommended for adults and children ages 6 and above. Click here for more information.
