Downtown Employee Appreciation Day

Downtown Employee Appreciation Day will take place on Wednesday, June 14, on the Kerr Park lawn from 11am-2pm. Join Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership for a lunchtime event featuring free popsicles from Wondervan Pops, live music, lawn games, and booths by various downtown organizations and services. Purchase your lunch from one of the food trucks and learn more about the different amenities available to downtown employees. Stop by Downtown Employee Appreciation Day and let us say THANK YOU for being a part of our downtown community!

MID-WEEK FARMERS MARKET - MAY 31

Pick up goods at the new
Mid-Week Farmers Market

The Scissortail Park Farmers Market will kick off the first Wednesday Mid-Week Market tonight, May 31 from 5-8pm at the Hill Pavilion & Promenade in the Lower Park. The Mid-Week Farmers Market will take place on the last Wednesday of the month through September and offer shoppers an additional time to shop local produce, plants, baked goods, and more. 

PRIDE MONTH OPENING CEREMONIES - JUNE 1

Pride month kicking off with opening ceremonies

The OKC Pride Alliance will kick off Pride Month in downtown Oklahoma City with Opening Ceremonies on Thursday, June 1 at 7pm. The event will take place on the Water Stage at the Myriad Botanical Gardens along with a ribbon cutting, special speakers, and more. Make plans to attend Opening Ceremonies along with other pride events all month long.  Also, be sure to mark your calendars and save the date because Pridefest is returning to Scissortail Park June 23-25.

WOMEN'S COLLEGE WORLD SERIES - JUNE 1-9

Oklahoma City welcomes the Women's College World Series

This Thursday, June 1, Oklahoma City will welcome the Women's College World Series to play at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. Once again, EMBARK will offer express bus services from downtown to the complex for softball fans. Fans can park at either the Oklahoma City Convention Center Garage or the Scissortail Park surface lot for $10 a day, which can be paid for using the Flowbird mobile parking App or at an EMBARK parking kiosk. To ride the express bus, customers can purchase a 1-Day Universal pass, which is valid on both the bus and the OKC Streetcar. The pass can be purchased on the Token Transit App, at an OKC Streetcar kiosk, or at the EMBARK Transit Center.

CHILDREN'S GARDENING FAIR- JUNE 3-4

Bring the kids to Myriad's Gardening Fair over the weekend

The two-day Children's Gardening Fair will take place in the Children's Garden and the Myriad this Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, Jun 4 from 10am-5pm. Children of all ages are invited to explore different aspects of gardening through interactive stations designed for immersive learning and play. General admission is $8, but free for members and children 2 and younger. 

FULL MOON BIKE RIDE - JUNE 3

Nothing beats bike rides under the full moon

Set out on a one-hour sunset bike ride throughout downtown Oklahoma City with the Myriad Gardens' monthly Full Moon Bike Ride this Saturday, June 3 at 8:45pm. Gather at the Seasonal Plaza in the northeast corner of the Gardens and ride together. Through Bricktown or down the Oklahoma River to the Wheeler District Ferris Wheel, this is a great way to tour with many others alongside you. Don't have a bike? Rent from RideOKC or Spokies.

DEAN A. MCGEE AWARDS - JUNE 7

Downtown OKC Partnership will honor four leaders for outstanding contributions

On Wednesday, June 7, Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership will honor four business and civic leaders for their outstanding contributions to the downtown community at the 36th annual Dean A. McGee Awards in the First National Center Ballroom. Gary Brooks, will receive the Dean A. McGee Award for his lifetime contributions to downtown; the Stanley Draper Award will be presented to Wiley Williams for his efforts in community excellence; Charles Nicholas (posthumous) will receive the Neal Horton Award for revitalization of downtown; and Jane Jenkins will receive the President’s Award for her exceptional service to downtown.
