BIOP's Commitment to Inclusion and Safety at the Annual Conference

In light of the current climate in Florida, it is of utmost importance for us to address this matter to ensure that every individual feels safe, welcomed, and included at our upcoming conference.

We want to assure you that we take these matters seriously, and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to creating an environment that upholds principles of diversity, inclusion, and participant safety.

The BIOP Leadership team recently convened to discuss the openly hostile climate toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQIA+ individuals and the potential impact on the upcoming conference. We are closely monitoring the situation, working with the conference committee to explore contingency plans, and evaluating alternative venues should the situation not improve.

We value your input and involvement in this process. We encourage open dialogue, suggestions, and feedback from all members, stakeholders, and potential conference attendees. Your perspectives are crucial as we navigate these challenges and work towards a successful event that upholds our shared values. If you would like to provide any feedback or suggestions, please click the link below or email any member of the BIOP leadership team.

We want to express our gratitude for your understanding, cooperation, and dedication to the success of BIOP and our inaugural conference. We understand that there may be changes and adjustments along the way, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Together, we will navigate these challenges as a united front, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and impactful conference for all.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in our organization.
