Dear ARTogether friends,
May has been an exciting month for ARTogether, as we continue to embrace our philosophy of collaboration and partnership. We have witnessed this philosophy in action through various programs and events in May, and we are thrilled to share some highlights with you. |
Lincoln Park Summer Nights Events: |
ARTogether joined forces with the Oakland Chinatown Coalition, Friends of Lincoln Park, and numerous other organizations for the launch of the first event in the Lincoln Park Summer Nights series. This free, family-friendly event, held every second Thursday for the next four months, has been a resounding success. People of all ages have come together to enjoy the festivities and create a vibrant sense of community. |

Oakland Chinatown Cleanup and Sign Installation: |
In collaboration with OCA AAPI Advocate East Bay, we dedicated our efforts to cleaning up Chinatown and contributing to the neighborhood's beautification. Additionally, we had the pleasure of creating and installing a beautiful sign that adds a touch of artistry to the area. |

Artist Mixer with Queerly Complex and Nava Dance Theatre: |
ARTogether had the privilege of partnering with Queerly Complex, Immigrant Artists Network, and NAVA Dance Theatre to host an unforgettable artist mixer. This event was a celebration of friendship, creativity, and the joy of shared experiences. Attendees enjoyed delicious food, exchanged ideas, and forged connections that will undoubtedly shape future collaborations. |

|
East Bay Open Studio Weekends: |
In conjunction with East Bay Open Studios and Oakland Art Murmur, ARTogether hosted four incredibly talented artists (Bushra Gill, Kacy Jung, Sunroop Kaur, Patricia Rojas-Zambrano) during the East Bay Open Studios weekends. It was a delight to showcase their work and provide them with a platform to engage with the community. The event was a testament to the power of art in fostering connection and understanding. |
 |
|
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners and collaborators who made these initiatives possible. It is through our collective efforts that we continue to build a more inclusive and vibrant community. We look forward to what the future holds and to creating more meaningful experiences together.
We are grateful for your ongoing support of our programs.
