New Drop-in Classes
w/ Youth Summer Saturdays

Beginning June 14, we're offering a new series of drop-in classes in person at 144 Montague and online via Zoom! In-person classes will be led by returning faculty Anthony Thomas Lombardi and Taylor Mali and new teacher Jaz Sufi; online classes will be led by returning faculty Erin Mizrahi and Ramya Ramana. Check the links for individual class descriptions and start dates; each class will run for 6–8 weeks. Registration is $20 for members or $25 general admission.

And we're proud to announce a new program: Youth Summer Saturdays, drop-in classes one Saturday per month this summer (June 24, July 22 and August 19) for three distinct age groups: 7–9, 10–12, and 13–18. Poets Jess Gagne, Darius Phelps and Kayla Schwab will lead the classes. We invite all young people who are interested in poetry to participate in these classes, regardless of their writing experience. In each class, teachers will guide students through a short lesson and a few example poems that illustrate specific skills. Then, teachers will offer a prompt and support students in an independent writing exercise. Afterwards, students will have the opportunity to share their work and reflect on their experiences.
