ONLINE PILATES TODAY AT 1.30pm

PILATES FOUNDATIONS AT 8.15pm (EPPING)

I’ve always loved a nice round month <<First Name>>. None of this 31 day nonsense when you have to work out if it’s a leap year or what date Thursday next week will be. I mean, if we lost the February nonsense we could recreate a much more rounded calendar.

I digress … if you’ve known me for a while, you’ll know about *that* Essex wide movement challenge I created back in 2018. Can you believe it’s 5 whole years ago? We encouraged ALL of Essex to do 30 minutes of ANY activity, EVERY day in June. It was fun and it was inspiring for me to get round the county (it’s massive by the way) meeting people from all demographics to see what movement meant to them and how it brought so many communities together.

Last time I checked, it was the 1st of June today. The PERFECT day to set yourself a movement streak goal.

  • Could you find a way to be active for every day in June?

  • Could you challenge yourself to do 10 minutes of meditative movement every day, just getting present?

  • Could you challenge yourself to get moving in green space every day?

  • Could you challenge yourself to try something new?

Consistency always wins over intensity. How would you feel if, by the end of June, you’d moved every day?

I mentioned in my last email that a very special friend of mine is currently critically unwell due to metastatic breast cancer. It reminded me of what a blessing it is to be able to move. One of the beautiful things about Pilates is that it not only feels good whilst you’re doing it but it helps you to move better, with more freedom.

If daily Pilates is going to be your challenge, there’s lots of my YouTube channel to keep you busy, including my 10 minutes a day, 15 minutes a day or my series of mini masterclasses on the moves in Pilates for Beginners. Below I’ve shared 10 minute Pilates to Calm Anxious Thoughts which is a great session focusing on movement, breath and stretching. Perfect for today’s intention.

Check it out  and if you’re a scheduling kind of a person, get it booked in.

Here are some more dates for you to book in:

  • Sunday morning pop-up Pilates: 11th June (venue TBC)

  • Pilates and Prosecco: 14th July

10 Minute Pilates to Calm Anxious Thoughts

Don’t forget my 10 Minute Pilates is available in case you’re struggling to get to class.

Love
