Summer is around the corner, so what better way to celebrate than to hit the beach? 


Mary Alice Park was acquired by Forsyth County Parks & Recreation in April and features a sandy beach on Lake Lanier, a picnic area and boat launch.

Adopt an Animal During Summer of Love


Let’s paw-tay! 


The Forsyth County Animal Shelter will be hosting a beach-themed, summer-long adoption event until September.  


During the fifth annual Summer of Love adoption event, the shelter’s $85 adoption fees for all animals will be waived. Find out how you can add a furry companion to your family this summer!

Forsyth County recently welcomed three new directors in the month of May: 


Adrian Casey as Director of Procurement 

Kirk Franz as Director of Parks & Recreation 

Mike Seymour as Chief Information Officer 


Each director brings many years of experience in their respective fields to their positions.
