From the Head of School
Dear Gardner community,
We are fully in the whirlwind that is the last days of school, and it's such a beautiful time for reflection, celebration, and connection. At the Gardner School, traditions happen every year that are rites of passage, and are truly meaningful for our students and staff. Year after year, Gardner students experience the end of year field trips, signing yearbooks, final projects, Wheels in School, Celebration of Learning, Field Day, graduation, and so many more memory making events- big and small. As educators, we know how important this time of year is for students to process, feel proud, and enjoy their friendships and time growing up at the Gardner School. We are intentional about how we enter into these days, and we invite you to join us in slowing down, making space for joy, and focusing on the unique and wonderful attributes that your child brings to your family, our school, and this world. It's time for us to celebrate them, and the amazing growth they've had this school year.
I look forward to seeing you at the upcoming events this week and next, and celebrating with you an incredibly successful school year. Our school community is thriving, strong, and happy - and I couldn't be more thankful for our teachers and the amazing work they did this year.

Monday, June 12th at 2:00 pm we will celebrate our graduating Klickitat students as they share speeches and presentations about their time at Gardner. For some, they have been here many years, and for others, just a short time, but all have left their impact on our community and we're looking forward to all they'll do in the future! All families are invited to join us in the Great Room to support the students in this important tradition at Gardner.

Gardner School Photo Opportunity
Last Call for Mini Sessions!
|
|
One of our business partnerships this year has been with Santoro Creative, who has taken wonderful photos of various campus events for us.
She is offering mini-sessions on Gardner's campus on June 24th, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. These 25 minute sessions will cost $100 ($50 due at booking) and you'll receive 10 fully edited images. If you'd like to claim a spot, the last chance is now! Email at santoro.creative@gmail.com to book.

Are you missing something? Check out this online link to see what's in our Lost and Found currently. We'll ask all students to check it out, too, so we can reconnect items with their owners before the end of the school year. After the last day, these items will be sorted and donated if unclaimed.

Don't Forget!
No After Care June 14th
Please note, there is no after care on the last day of school, June 14th, and pick up is at 1:00 for early childhood students, and 1:45 for K-6 students. EC siblings can stay until K-6 pickup at 1:45.

Mazama Celebration of Learning, 12:00 pm
Mazama Pre-K students are ready to share their learning with families and friends at their final Celebration of Learning for the year!
Thursday, June 8th
Kindergarten- 6th Grade Celebration of Learning, 2:00 pm
After an all school presentation in the Great Room, explore our Kalama- Klickitat classrooms to see hands-on projects, art displays, and other artifacts of learning!
Friday, June 9th
Early Childhood Field Day
An opportunity for our preschool and Pre-K students to have a blast outside! Prepare for water play, packing a towel and an extra change of clothes.
Monday, June 12th
Klickitat Graduation, 2:00 pm
Graduation at Gardner is a special time to celebrate the hard work our students have put in during their time at Gardner, and a chance to highlight the uniqueness of their experience. All community members are welcome to join us for graduation in the Great Room.
Wednesday, June 14th
K-6 Field Day
Expect your kids to need some extra changes of clothes, a towel, and good shoes for running and playing during this last field day of the school year!
