Creekside Weekly
During the month of June, Warm Up The Valley is collecting gifts that children in need can give to their parents at Christmas. So often children of families in need miss the fun and joy of giving gifts. We will be collecting new items that kids will choose from to give. Some ideas: gift sets, bath gifts, tool sets, cooking items. The collection box is located in the Creekside Kidz breezeway.
Youth Group Fun Day June 3 from 10am-4pm at Matanuska River Park Trail Pavilion A. Come join us for a day of fun and games with grilled burgers, hotdogs, chips and drinks. Both junior and high school youth may attend.
Mark your calendars! Baptism Sunday is coming and will be happening on June 11th and 18th. Lets all come together to celebrate our brothers and sisters in Christ!
Kick Back the Shadows! It's that time of the year where we have the opportunity to partner with Heartreach Pregnancy Center by participating in their 5K for Life. The run will take place at the Trunk Road park and ride on Saturday June 17 starting at 9am. Registration is free! For more information please visit: friendsofheartreach.com/5kforlife
It's our turn to provide meals for Family Promise. These families are currently at a transition home awaiting housing. We're looking five families to provide a cooked meal the week of June 18th-24th, and deliver to Family Promise housing (behind Wonderland Park). This is a beautiful opportunity to help reduce some of the burden these families are experiencing. Look for the link to the meal train on the Ladies of Creekside Facebook page.
Save the Date! VBS will take place this year July 17-21 and will have a space theme. It'll be here before you know it! Also, please consider volunteering to help at VBS if you can. It takes the love and time of our amazing volunteers to make VBS a success. We'd love to have you join us!
Mens Bible study is ON HOLD for the summer! We hope you'll join us in our updated kitchen downstairs this fall for Bible study and fellowship.
Wednesdays at Creekside is ON HOLD for the summer. Wednesday evening activities will start back up again in the fall.
Do you love coffee and have the heart to serve? Living Waters Cafe is looking for volunteers for the church cafe. Text or call Becky Callahan at 910-551-5446 for more information. No experience necessary!
Do you need prayer? Is the Lord leading you to pray? Join us on Tuesday nights at 7pm in the Worship Center for a time of seeking the Lord in prayer together.
