Dear Friends, 

     Do you believe in fate or karma, or that you get what you deserve?  When I was a young adult, an older woman I admired explained life's hardships saying, "The stronger your shoulders, the bigger your burden."  I believed her for a long time.  Were you ever told "words of wisdom" that turned out to be wrong?  A lot of you have received the note cards that you wrote to yourself last January, expressing your vision for 2023.  It's time for a mid-year check-up!  
     AND as ALWAYS - It's time to come enjoy seeing old friends and making new friends.  That might be the most important thing of all!

Class 4 Meets This Sunday...
 
     Come join class 4 of 5, Spiritual Principles and Practices.  In addition to the workbook Module 4, we will discuss Chapters 11-13 in Ernest Holmes's book, "This Thing Called You". 
Our Spiritual Principles will be Gratitude through Journaling and Compassion through Forgiveness.
-- Do you love yourself? 
-- Have you forgiven yourself?
     Looking at how we treat ourselves is a powerful self-awareness about how we interact with others.  Practicing self-compassion is a way to deepen self-love and will be reflected in more loving and compassionate interaction with others.    We will also prepare for the final week,  Module 5, and the presentation of our Vision Boards.  These tools help us realize our intentions.
      Please bring paper and/or your journal.

God Is In All:

Believing that the Divine Spirit is at the center of everything, and at the center of our own being.  And recognizing this same presence in everyone we meet, the God in them will respond to the same divine presence within us.  Recognizing the One Mind that governs everything, we affirm this same intelligence is governing all of our affairs at all times leading us to the fulfillment of all good in our life.
Meditation Suggestion:
Take a few minutes and reflect on this passage by Ernest Holmes called "Come, and Let Me Heal You"

  Come and I will heal you.
  The inner power of Life within me is God,
  And God has all power.
  I will heal and help all who come to me.
  I know that the realization of Life and Love within me heals all who come into Its presence.
  I silently bless all who enter my atmosphere
  It is not I, but the Father Who dwelleth in me, He doeth the works.
"I heal all who come near me."
