ROBIN MARK | Los Angeles Program Director,
Trust for Public Land
My favorite Los Angeles places and spaces...
PLAY: When I go outside to play, I’m always with my family and our giant dog at Griffith Park. The hiking trails are endless, and the kids are never short on opportunities for nature play.
CREATE: At Barnsdall Art Park, I can take pottery classes, my kids can grow their art skills, and my friends and I can gather for First Fridays. And you can’t beat the view!
CONNECT: Walking with friends and family along the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena, I can feel what it is really like to walk along a river without concrete—connecting with nature and with people.
LEARN: Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) offers so many opportunities to grow—from its contemporary collection to its outdoor interactive exhibits. I love being surrounded by so much beauty and culture.
LIVE: Vista Hermosa Park is an incredible gem in Los Angeles—a hidden oasis in the middle of the city. It demonstrates the best of what LA has to offer, the diversity of nature, and the urban environment in one city park!
