The Supreme Court, which is stacked with MAGA justices hand-picked by Republicans and dark money groups, is completely out of control. This Court has gutted the Voting Rights Act, attacked workers’ rights, chipped away at our ability to protect our environment, struck down countless gun safety laws, and perhaps worst of all, overturned Roe v. Wade and threw our reproductive rights into chaos across the country. 

The only way to save our constitutional and civil rights is to expand the Supreme Court by passing the Judiciary Act of 2023 (H.R. 3422). Every single issue we care about is at risk with this conservative MAGA majority in power at the Court. That’s why we must act now to unrig our courts before it’s too late. 

The Judiciary Act of 2023 provides the most urgent solution to a Supreme Court that has been captured by conservative extremists. This bill would add four additional justices to the bench and undo the decades of conservative court-packing that got us into this mess. The Constitution does not require a set number of Supreme Court justices and the number has fluctuated over the years. 

Make no mistake: the conservative justices are extreme.  The Supreme Court expansion is necessary to restore balance to the court after years of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s anti-democratic attempts to take over our judiciary. The Supreme Court is only legitimate as long as we can trust that the justices are fair arbiters of the law and constitution. We’re no longer confident that it is. 

Write Postcards to CA27 Voters who voted in 2020 but NOT 2022 to Inform that their Rep Mike Garcia (R) Votes Against GUN SAFETY and to VOTE HIM OUT!

We are writing to voters in CA District 27 where their current Republican Congressperson is against Gun Safety laws. Help us flip the seat to BLUE and make GUN SAFETY simple!  The mailing deadline is July 10th.

We NEED EVERY VOTE to win in 2024 and the work starts now!

It’s just that simple.  

We have regulations for infant and child car seats.

We have regulations for cribs.

We have regulations for window safety.

We have regulations for stove top knobs.

We have regulations for bicycle helmets.

We could go on and on…..

YET, we have little to no regulations or laws around guns and gun safety, the leading killer of children.

So, take a moment and order postcards to write and mail. Write with a friend or two and energize a group to reach out to Americans about their Democracy!

Note: The cost of postcard stamps is increasing from 48¢  to 51¢ effective July 9, 2023. So now's the time to stock up. You'll want plenty to keep you going through 2023 and even into 2024.
