Welcome to our June 2023 E-newsletter!

We're excited to announce that our brand new  Step Up for Stomas annual fundraising step challenge for 2023 is now open for registration! 

We really hope you'll take part as it offers a great way to get active whilst raising some valuable funds to help support the stoma community.

Thanks to all our Stoma Aware Stars, our Stoma Friendly toilets campaign continues to grow from strength to strength! Since last month’s update, we’ve continued to add shopping centres, theatres, and more sports stadiums to our portfolio, we’ve also got some exciting transport updates coming soon.

Ready to take the Plunge?

We’re delighted to announce that our Active Ostomates swimming classes are back after a Covid forced hiatus!

We will be running two sessions this Autumn at: Windsor Leisure Centre, Berkshire on Saturday 2nd September 18:30 to 19:30 And Heywood Sports Village, Greater Manchester on Saturday 14th October 5pm to 6pm. I have a stoma, now I have diabetes – what can I eat?

Our Rugby League team had an amazing day at Batley Bulldogs earlier this month when they played the British Asian Rugby Association as part of the Jo Cox Memorial celebrations, which also featured Batley Bulldogs against York Knights.

Nearly 3,000 people were in attendance on the day and we received some great Coverage on BBC Look North, ITV, Capital Radio, Heart Radio, BBC Radio Leeds, and BBC Radio Lancashire.

Big thanks to everyone from the Colostomy UK family that came along to cheer the team on.

Team Colostomy UK are next in action against Bradford Bulls PDRL on Sunday 31st July at Odsal Stadium, Bradford. The game kicks off at 2pm and entry is free, so please come along and support us!
