Lessons from Licensing

Medical and adult use cannabis program employees are reminded that they must submit their own registry identification card (RIC) and individual identification card (IIC) applications because they have to affirm and electronically sign the application. This includes scheduling their own fingerprinting appointments as there is a privacy acknowledgement that needs to be read and signed during the scheduling process.

Compliance Corner

Batches of adult use cannabis or cannabis products that fail testing for either pesticides or metals may not be remediated. Adult use cannabis and cannabis products that fail testing for pesticides or metals may, however, be retested in accordance with the requirements of 18-691 C.M.R. Chapter 1. More information is available in the Rules for the Certification of Cannabis Testing Facilities, 18-691 C.M.R. Chapter 5.

Summer Events

OCP staff will be on the road again this summer for community listening sessions in Washington, Androscoggin, Cumberland, and Somerset counties. In addition, the Office will soon be launching a Cannabis Conversations Panel Series to provide opportunities for cannabis program participants and other stakeholders to engage on industry-specific topics.

Stay tuned for more information on these initiatives in the coming weeks!
