Apply to be a U of T mentee
Registration is now open for the Summer/Fall 2023 Centre for Learning, Leadership and Culture’s (LLC) Group Mentorship Program.
The program is open to all staff appointed employees in all pay bands who are in a full-time role at the University of Toronto.
It is committed to creating meaningful mentorship opportunities for equity-deserving groups, including Black, Indigenous, racialized, 2SLGBTQ+ and persons with disabilities, to apply and join our network of mentees.
Group mentoring can aid those who are still considering the direction of their career and are not sure how to generate and explore options.
Registration forms are due by June 30. Registrants will be notified of their mentor and group cohort by the week of July 10.
The program will run from July to December. There are up to six mentees per group mentor. Learn more

SURF's up for summer students
Hosted by the Office of the Vice-Principal, Research (OVPR), the Summer Undergraduate Research Fair (SURF) celebrates the research conducted by undergraduate students over the summer.
Students will share their work in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences on Aug. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Instructional Building.
Registration is open to all undergraduate students conducting a Summer 2023 research project under the supervision of a UTM faculty researcher. Presenters must register by July 18. For questions, contact events.ovprutm@utoronto.ca.

In Memoriam
It is with profound sadness that the Office of the Dean share news of the passing of a loved and accomplished faculty member, Professor Mari Ruti of the Department of English & Drama, on June 8. Ruti joined UTM in 2004 and was promoted to full Professor in in 2013 and to Distinguished Professor in 2017.
Her students and colleagues will greatly miss her lovely character and remarkable intellect. Learn more
