July Programming Scheduled at Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site


BISMARCK, N.D. – The Former Governors' Mansion State Historic Site is offering free weekly activities in July to promote learning and fun. All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
July 4 Happy Independence Day! 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Celebrate America’s birthday! Enjoy watermelon and lawn games for all ages. Miss North Dakota 2023 Sydney Helgeson will be on-site from 2 to 4 p.m. and will perform at 3 p.m.

July 11 Chalk Fest! 1-3 p.m. Decorate our sidewalks with chalk art! Summer and school groups are encouraged to attend. Cookies and lemonade will be served.

July 18 Flower Fun, 1-3 p.m. Did you know the Former Governors’ Mansion has a large variety of flowers? Paint a planter and plant a flower to take home! Summer and school groups are encouraged to attend. Cookies and lemonade will be served.

July 25 Toys, Toys, Toys! 1-3 p.m. Tour the attic to see the toys there, and make a toy of your own to take home. Summer and school groups are encouraged to attend. Cookies and lemonade will be served.

Admission is free. The mansion is open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday-Sunday, 12-4 p.m. Find additional upcoming programs at history.nd.gov/events.
