Kia ora tatou,
It’s time for us to share some of the work we have been doing here in Whaingaroa, Raglan and to introduce our Raglan Naturally team.
We are committed to growing our understanding of the needs and aspirations of our communities and to supporting community-led initiatives and projects. We love learning alongside and taking action with you all.
Raglan Naturally is still a relatively new organisation and we encourage you to connect with us, ask questions and help us grow, in support of community.

- locally driven action based on the needs of the community
- valuing local people as ‘experts’ in their place
- vostering new connections to unlock resources and enable new thinking
- recognising and celebrating local leadership and achievements
- being prepared to take action, acknowledging uncertainty and adapting as things progress.

Wellbeing Workshop
On February 23rd we ran a creative mindfulness workshop in collaboration with Yaniv and Annick Janson for all the people delivering health and social services within our community. It was about showing appreciation for the work that often goes unrecognised within our community, and to help build relationships and connections between everyone. It was a fabulous day with a tasty nutritious lunch and every attendee was given a well-being pack to take home.
Te Toi Ora Temporary Health Clinics
We have been working in collaboration with the Marae Wellness Hub and Raglan Medical to deliver Te Toi Ora Medical Clinics at local marae fortnightly. These aim to reduce barriers in accessing health services within our community. Services available have been: diabetes and heart testing and monitoring, general medical issues, hep C testing, sexual health, mental health team, mirimiri, cervical screening, oral health team, plunket, vaccinations and social services. A hot kai is also provided, alongside free access to showers and washing machines.
Three Steps for Life St John’s CPR and AED Training
Working alongside the St John’s team to help bring the Three Steps for Life training, which offers CPR and AED training, to as many groups as possible across the community. The first was has been delivered at Mai Uenuku Ki Te Whenua Marae as part of the temporary monthly health clinic services.
