Carnation Farmers Market supports the Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands Movement: We acknowledge that our market operates on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish peoples who have sovereign, inherent Tribal rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sduk史albix史). We thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
What we can do to honor the land and those who live here
Be mindful: Respect the land by picking up after yourself and your pets, and stick to designated trails.
Adopt an attitude of reverence: Engage with the land mindfully, appreciating its natural balance, rather than seeking to conquer it.
Educate yourself: Learn more about the Snoqualmie Tribe, their history, and present-day practices.
Acknowledge the land: Recognize that you are enjoying time on Snoqualmie ancestral lands, in both word and action.
Spread the word: Encourage others to learn more about the land and acknowledge its sacred significance to the tribe(s).
CFM Belongs to All of Us
There's a lot you can do to help in 2023.
Donate: Support the market with a recurring donation. If everyone in Carnation gave $1/month and volunteered 1 hour per year, we'd cover all costs. One-time donations help with moving expenses.
Volunteer any time, any day - make friends and contribute to the community. CFM was a finalist for "Best Organization to Join" in the 2022 "Best of the Valley" reader's poll.
Contribute your talents. Share your skills or brainstorm new ideas! Email Market Manager Shana with questions, feedback, or suggestions.
Our Market thrives thanks to volunteers, vendors, and community supporters like you. Embrace life's joys by connecting with neighbors through CFM. Let's work together to keep our community hub alive & thriving!
