Kia ora <<First Name>>,
It's July already?! We've spent the past month getting ready for winter to kick off. Better late than never, this past weekend's snow dump has started the school holidays with a bang (well, at least in some places). Now the real fun starts.
It's been a busy few weeks of travelling for the MSC team. We've hosted NZAA forecaster training in Wanaka, caught up with a bunch of our hunting partners in Te Anau, and reconnected with friends and filmgoers in Queenstown.
We've also seen a lot of coverage in the media space with the release of two coroners' findings. And we've celebrated a few little wins along the way...
Keep your eyes peeled for our #AvalancheReady winter campaign, and bookmark avalanche.net.nz for all your alpine adventures. Wishing everyone a safe and successful month ahead!

NZAA Forecaster Training
We hosted our NZ Avalanche Advisory Forecasters training in Wanaka on 13-14th June. Once a year, we all get together to review the last season, learn about the latest research and technologies, and share our ideas for the season ahead.
Check out our video of the weekend on NZAA's Instagram.

Winter Wapiti Weekend
Our Hunting Partnerships Advisor, Adam, visited frosty Te Anau for the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation's ( FWF) Winter Wapiti Weekend. The inaugural event celebrated 100 years of Wapiti hunting in NZ and showcased FWF’s conservation efforts. Amongst the crowds, Adam caught up with FWF General Manager Roy Sloan, and industry partners: Game Animal Council, NZ Deerstalker’s Association, Points South, Backcountry Cuisine, MTNGEAR and many local hunters.

Celebrating BANFF success
Once again, the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC) have done an incredible job of hosting the BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Plan My Walk is a proud presenting partner of the festival. We look forward to the Wellington sessions every year as the perfect kick-off for winter. Congrats to NZAC for all their hard work!

NZ Mountain Film & Book Festival
We had the pleasure of sponsoring the NZ Mountain Film and Book Festival, which took place in Wanaka and Queenstown from 23-30 June. It was great to reconnect with many friends and partners, chat with filmgoers, and support the work that Mark and Jo Sedon and the festival team have put in to run this festival year after year. You can check out the online sessions here.
