Thanks for showing up every Tuesday to strengthen our Carnation community

  • More vendors: CFM has the most vendors that we've had in the last 8 years (and we're adding two more this week!)
  • Record-breaking sales: Vendor sales are at an all-time high, breaking the record for highest one-day total sales in CFM history - both on Opening Day and on June 29th
  • More activities: Guest artists every week, Two live music acts, PoP Kids Club, and more - thanks to grants from 4Culture and King County Local Services, as well as our generous sponsors & dedicated volunteers.
  • More community We are hosting about twice as many non-profit and local business appearances as last year, facilitating connections and building resilience
  • Plenty of space: Attendance is way up. There is plenty of room to spread out, parking is easy, and the new location is easy to access walking or biking
  • More nourishment: With more organic produce, options for those with food restrictions, increased variety of hot food, and expanded food access with SNAP/EBT and other programs, CFM's impact on the health of our community is growing!

This week's activity: Shopping Choices

Delve into economics as we discuss the purchasing power of the $2 token. Do you spend yours right away, or save them up for something bigger? Take the survey, find out what kids like to buy, and help build a graphic bar chart to show the results.

New activities every week, and a $2 token to spend with local farmers!

If you haven't been to PoP Club yet this season, you can register online and save time, or you can do it the old-fashioned way by heading to the PoP Club table when you arrive at Market. See you there!

This week's guests:

  • Bats Northwest - Bats NW is a 501(c)(3) organization promoting public outreach and conservation of bats in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Mosaic Montessori - Find out about the school's new offerings while the kids enjoy a crafting activity with Christine. Mosaic is now state-approved to offer full-day and half-day kindergarten.
  • Stewardship Partners - Every week, somebody will win a free rain barrel - visit Stewardship Partners at Carnation Farmers Market all season long.

Stewardship Partners's mission is to create people-based solutions that engage Puget Sound communities as caretakers of the land and water that sustain us. Their Snoqualmie Stewardship Program, based in Carnation WA., performs riparian restoration on agricultural lands to improve fish and wildlife habitat. In addition, they promote green stormwater management solutions throughout the valley by educating the community and installing rain gardens, cisterns and rain barrels.

Carnation Farmers Market supports the Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands Movement: We acknowledge that our market operates on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish peoples who have sovereign, inherent Tribal rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukÊ·albixÊ·).  We thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
How do I honor the land and those who live here?
  • Be mindful: Respect the land by picking up after yourself and your pets, and stick to designated trails.
  • Adopt an attitude of reverence: Engage with the land mindfully, appreciating its natural balance, rather than seeking to conquer it.
  • Educate yourself: Learn more about the Snoqualmie Tribe, their history, and present-day practices.
  • Acknowledge the land: Recognize that you are enjoying time on Snoqualmie ancestral lands, in both word and action.
  • Spread the word: Encourage others to learn more about the land and acknowledge its sacred significance to the tribe(s).

Our market would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. Check out these trusted local businesses and organizations:
