Thank you for the part you have played in Majengo's 15-year story of growth and progress. With every year that passes we are able to expand thanks to your generosity.
Up to today, we estimate that MCH has touched the lives of over 12,000 children and their families – like Loveness and her grandmother.
None of this would be possible without you.

Loveness started her journey with Majengo when she was just 5 years old. Now at 18, she is awaiting her advanced level education in the hopes of one day becoming a lawyer and helping to support her family. She lives with her grandmother, while still being supported by Majengo. She is adjusting well to life outside of the children's home which is an important step in growing up.

Get to know Loveness
|
|
For every Loveness, there is a Bahati. Bahati came to us with his sister in early 2023. He came from an extremely challenging background which caused him a lot of trauma. After losing his mother, he developed severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Now that he is at home at Majengo, his PTSD is being managed by our mental health program which is something that would never have happened outside of MCH. He is finally learning what childhood is meant to be by going to school, playing and making friends. He no longer has to worry about his safety or the next meal he will have.
We know that with the nurturing he receives at Majengo, he will grow.

Many of the young adults, like Loveness, who have been around since the early days, have started to emerge into the community as well rounded, self-sustaining young adults who are eagerly contributing to the community around them.
This has and will always be Majengo's ultimate goal.
This is what we hope for Bahati one day. This would not be possible without you.

There is an African proverb that says "A fully grown up tree can not be bent into a walking stick." When a child grows up in a supportive, healthy and well rooted environment, they become strong, confident and capable adults. We know this is true because of young adults like Loveness. With your support, you can help Bahati grow to become a Loveness.
