Libraries Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Alexander Library Renaming

On June 8, 1973, Rutgers University Library was renamed Archibald Stevens Alexander Library.

Alexander Library, located on Rutgers' College Avenue campus, is the oldest and largest of the Rutgers University libraries. It is the main social sciences and humanities library in New Brunswick and home to Special Collections and University Archives, the East Asian Library, the Digital Learning Commons, the Hatchery Innovation Studio, and the Libraries' administrative offices.

On Exhibit at Robeson Library: Black Music Month

June is National Black Music Month, and Paul Robeson Library is proud to partner with the Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society of Atlantic City, New Jersey, on its inaugural nationwide academic library curation campaign that encourages diversity and inclusion by developing the study of African American Music Studies in colleges and universities.

The exhibit features Black music history books curated by Perry Thompson, the Society's founder and Executive Director, along with Rev. Dr. Sonja Elise Freeman ("Queen Diva"), the Society's Artist-in-Residence and Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

This exhibition will be on view through July 8, 2023.

Learn how to use EndNote, a citation management software to help you organize your citations and generate a bibliography in a snap. In this workshop, you will learn how to download EndNote, capture references from databases such as PubMed and Google Scholar, create a library, and, more importantly, use EndNote to help you cite references while writing a paper in Microsoft Word.
