SMIDSYs and saccadic masking
Most drivers responsible for SMIDSYs will have looked before moving, but 'saccadic masking' may mean they really didn't see oncoming traffic. This short video explains the theory, and shows how drivers (and riders) can correct the problem.

Ladies' MCD
Tina and team put on KAMG's first ever ladies-only machine control day recently, resulting in some new members joining too. Tina reports, "We have had some lovely emails about our ladies' machine control day. A massive 'thank-you' to all who helped it run so smoothly and gave precious time to the event, especially Paul Aspinall (our MCD Manager), Sue Aspinall for the wonderful refreshments and to Debbie for allowing us to use her bike for the pick up demo. Another successful KAMG event by a fabulous team xxx."

Would you like to lead a group run or tour?
Do you have a favourite destination, route or café? If you'd like to lead a run or overnight trip, simply contact Roger Lancaster with your idea. Roger will run through the itinerary to ensure necessary safety issues are in place.

|
A message from Roger: "Many members lead rides throughout the year, including the groups of four riders on our Training & Social Ride each month. To these valiant people I reach out to you to organise a run during this year; they are always a very popular event. I can be contacted on roger.lancaster@ntlworld.com or 07740 779224."

KAMG needs YOU
We are always looking for fresh input. Currently we are particularly looking for help with Green Badge Holders and Observers to help plan and run KAMG social and training runs when they resume.
Please contact Tina Underwood or Joe Mair if you can help.
