New Features and Improvements
MARK ENTRIES AS REVIEWED
Viewers now have an option to flag Entries that they have judged as ‘Reviewed’.
Each Entry on the Viewing Interface now has a button titled ‘Reviewed / Not Reviewed’, enabling Viewers to change the status of the respective Entry.
This can assist as a simple reminder, or if enabled, it can be used to filter by priority Entries that have not yet been reviewed.
For more information about how to set up the Viewing Interface you can read the full guide.
EXPANDED SORT OPTIONS FOR VIEWERS
New sorting options have been added to assist Judges in locating Entries that they have not reviewed, scored or commented on. Admins can select from the following options on the Awards Settings page:
A-Z
Z-A
Random
Most Recently Added
Scored
Not Scored
Commented
Not Commented
Please see how to set up the Viewing Interface here.
'CATEGORY' FILTER ADDED TO VIEWER SCORE DOWNLOAD
The Viewer Score Download Report has been updated so that Admins can choose which Categories are included on the export. This is particularly useful where multiple voting rounds are run in an Award, allowing Admins to export only the scores that they require.
More information on the Viewer Score Download Report can be found here.
HIDE DOWNLOAD BUTTON FOR PRIMARY IMAGE
Admins can now opt to either display or hide the download button that appears below the primary image on the Viewing Interface.
There are occasions in which Admins may want the Viewers to download the source file for review, but if not, now the button can be hidden.
For full instructions on how to set up the Viewing Interface, review this article.
VALIDATE ENTRANT EMAIL ON REGISTRATION
Further to recent security improvements in Nucleus, we have added the option for Admins to require that Entrants validate their email before being able to access their account.
There are several benefits to implementing this, including but not limited to, confirming the Entrant owns that email address; preventing users from spoofing email addresses; and ensuring they have entered the correct address to receive all email correspondence.
The ‘Reverse Charge VAT’ feature is now linked to the organisation billing address, not simply the organisation address.
Reverse Charge VAT allows Entrants who are based outside of the country where the Award is hosted to be excluded from paying VAT.
Read the guide for more information about Reverse Charge VAT.
BATCH 'SHOW / HIDE' FUNCTIONALITY
As an extension to the 'Show / Hide Nominations' functionality that was released in previous months, there is now a batch option so multiple Nominations can be updated in one action.
Discount codes can be created by Admins and used during the checkout process by Entrants to claim fixed price or percentage discounts. All Entry and Custom Reports have now been updated so that Admins can clearly see where a discount code has been used.
Read the guide to find out more about Discount Codes.
'EMBED' QUESTIONS SUPPORT YOUTUBE MOBILE LINKS
Embed questions allow Entrants to supply valid YouTube and Vimeo links which are then embedded into the Viewing Interface. These questions now support YouTube mobile links.
The options on the Design Controls page, which allow Admins to supply custom logos and colours, have been updated so the logos are all in one location.
Full information about the design controls can be found here.
