Growing our Solidarity Ecosystem

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our Community Programs Meeting this past Tuesday! This event was a culmination of strategic program planning and our online Reintroducing LA Más series. We shared program activities that will launch this summer, listened to community members’ feedback, and invited our network to pledge to join one or more activities. Over 50 community members, youth, allies and representatives from partner organizations attended. Special thanks to venue host MRCA at LA River Center & Gardens, youth art station facilitator Crush + Touch, food and drink vendors Maria Chatun, Maria Rojas & Elva Uribe, and language interpreters Veronica Lomeli, Leticia Soto & Brittany Morales.

Join & Invest in our Collective Work!

Beyond our programs, the heart of our work is relational. In any ecosystem, organisms and the elements work together to form an environment of life. Inspired by nature’s collaborative spirit, we practice interdependence and care with Northeast LA community members and allies - intentionally centering working class communities of color. We call this network our Solidarity Ecosystem and invite you to join us.

At our meeting this week, attendees signed up to participate, partner and/or invest in our programs. You can, too, by filling out this pledge form. Let us know which programs you’re interested in or how you’d like to collaborate with LA Más and our community.

JOIN OUR SOLIDARITY ECOSYSTEM

Another critical way to move our collective work forward is to support with a monetary donation. As our programs have shifted to reimagine a solidarity economy, LA Más has had to rethink our traditional funding sources. We aim to practice mutuality with values-aligned partners in our Northeast LA community and beyond. If you, too, want to build a more regenerative Northeast LA and have the means to support, consider making a one-time or monthly donation, or sponsoring future events.
