COMMUNITY OUTREACH & ENGAGEMENT
We continued our community outreach and engagement efforts for our Liver Study in Southern Arizona. This month the Nosotros team had the opportunity to attend different locations/events including the Mexican Consulate in Tucson and Nogales, Yuma, and Menlo Family Resource Center, where we offered our community free liver scans and provided other health resources.
Continuamos nuestras visitas de alcance comunitario para nuestro estudio del hígado en el sur de Arizona. Tanque Verde Swap Meet
We are happy to continue working with our Tanque Verde Swap Meet community. We provided our community with free liver scans and other health resources. This month we completed 227 scans!

This month we visited Yuma to continue with our research efforts for the Cosechando la Salud project. We are happy to collaborate with our community and create health opportunities for everyone!

Do you know what Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is? NAFLD is not related to alcohol consumption. Some of the risk factors include obesity, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes. Most people have no symptoms!
