If you're looking for a date (whether with someone or just to treat yourself), look no further than our Second Saturday ride! You can pick up your new PSP T-shirt while you're there. We're also loving the possibility of more bike lanes on Fillmore Street and have all the details about that. For those who want to do more rabble-rousing, we've got the details on the PSP Linktree. And, if you haven't already, don't forget you can make Phoenix a safer place to ride a bike just by becoming a Phoenix Spokes People member. Even if you're not a member yet, you're still welcome to attend our virtual monthly meeting.

City Explores More Bike Lanes
on Fillmore Street
In 2022, Fillmore Street from Central Avenue to 7th Street became a friendlier place to ride when buffered, protected bike lanes were added on both sides of the streets.
Now, the city wants to continue that work on the other side of Central Avenue. The Street Transportation Department is examining adding either bike lanes or a two-way protected bikeway on Fillmore Street from Central Avenue to 7th Avenue.
A virtual meeting will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 6 p.m. to discuss the various options. Register for that meeting here.
If you can’t make the meeting, you can still get any questions answered or voice your opinions by contacting the Project Communications Consultant Albert Granillo at agranillo@barnhartco.com. You can also call (623) 825-3444.
Potential traffic impacts include the possible on-street parking in the project area, signal timing changes and the possible removal of turn lane signals.

Our February Second Saturday Ride:
Possibly the Perfect First Date
Whether you’re enjoying riding through life solo or on a metaphorical tandem, you’ve always got a date with PSP on the second Saturday of the month!
We’d love for you to join us Saturday, February 10, at 8 a.m.(ish) for our family-friendly Second Saturday ride!
We meet at Short Leash Hot Dogs, 4221 N. 7th Ave., about 8 a.m. and wake up with coffee and Roll Over doughnuts. Once we’ve said our hellos and introductions, we roll out at 9 a.m.
Then we take a leisurely 12- to 14-mile ride, sometimes stopping in a park for a brief break. We end up back where we started at Short Leash, this time to enjoy some beverages, snacks and each other’s company.
We’d never break anyone’s heart, so no one gets left behind on this casual ride.
