The fellows are developing deeply exciting projects on topics of access, sex work, colonialism, anti-Blackness, Anti-fatness, cross-movement work and more.

By provoking thoughtful consideration and raising awareness, this project transcends political divisions and emphasizes the significance of safeguarding one another during times of crisis. It serves as a testament to the resilience of humanity and the capacity of art to challenge prevailing narratives and inspire positive change. 

Crip Time, Resilience Staffing, and Succession Planning

Crip time challenges the way we typically view productivity and time. We acknowledge that people have different capacities and needs, so we embrace a more flexible and inclusive approach. Crip time allows individuals to work at their own pace and accommodates their unique circumstances. It recognizes the importance of rest and self-care, promoting a healthier work-life balance for everyone involved.

100K Praises

“100K Praises” is a videogame that celebrates self-empowerment and positive self-image. Journey through a series of challenges and collect 100 genuine statements about your own character and achievements. Designed by Maiamama and Claudia Alick.

MaiaMama

Makeup Monday was a success!! But Maiamama’s week? Not so much First her 3 week old car was almost stolen resulting in damage that makes it undrivable until at least September. Then her bank account was compromised and locked until the end of next week. So on Gaming4Justice she played OXENFREE 2 for some self care. She’s also been working on a new game called 100K Praises. This new game has a points system that Maiamama learned during streams of Gaming4Justice! This week we’ll talk more about that game and embedding images. Join us live on Twitch Wednesday at 4pm PST. On Trek Talk Maiamama and Claudia discussed Vulcan parents, Dimensional insurance agents, and how we feel about these additions to the cannon on season 2 episode 5 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Tacoma Pride 2023

Event Report: Maiamama went to Tacoma Pride and had a wonderful time seeing people throughout her community. She was loving the ASL on the Drag show, all the families celebrated and visiting every table. She met a lovely black woman who sells her own spice blends called Chain of Spices. The sun was bright and it was a beautiful day.

Event Report: Claudia Alick attended the THRIVE Week programming. It was a marvelous opportunity to connect with BIPOC theatre makers from across the country. Conversations on leadership, equity, funding were great. The zoom sessions had live captioning and ASL. • Accessible Virtual Pride Event wrapped up this week, prizes winner contacted, updates with images and videos, and planning to reach out to local prides to build relationships for next year’s virtual pride.
