Clarion West 2023 Write-a-thon: Curtis Chen's fundraising page

How It Started, How It’s Going

Hello again, <<First Name>>! I’ve been chugging along a bit slowly on this year’s Clarion West Write-a-thon, but I’m still working on new stuff. Click through the image above to get all the details on my official fundraising page, including those additional links to weekly update bits! Also note that if you donate and supply your email address, I’ll send even more detailed progress reports every Sunday through August 6th.

This coming weekend I’m headed out to Bremerton for the Cascade Writers Three-Day Critique Workshop, where I’m looking forward to talking writing and general creativity with a whole bunch of cool folks, including indie author Maquel A. Jacob and editor extraordinaire Diana M. Pho. If that sounds interesting to you, panel- and class-only registrations are still available!

#SOON

If you’ve got more time than money, and are located near Tacoma, WA, I’m doing a FREE speculative fiction writing workshop at the South Tacoma Branch of the Tacoma Public Library on July 29th. Precise agenda TBD, but it will include at least a high-level overview/timeline of how I wrote and sold my first two Kangaroo novels! FREE to attend, but registration is required.

Next month, you can find me at the Willamette Writers Conference in Portland, OR, the first weekend of August. (ObDisclaimer: I am a current Willamette Writers Board Member.) I only have a couple of official duties on my schedule, so I’ll have plenty of time to sit and chat, I hope.

Remember, you can see my full upcoming event schedule on the web at…

As always, thanks for reading!

And now, cat pictures.
