Our focus this year will be on two key elements that our not-for-profit sector can benefit from after a challenging few years:

Branding  (visual identity, logo creation or revision, brand guidelines etc.)

Targeted recovery support for Canadian arts, culture and heritage organizations to help welcome back audiences and boost revenues

News Release :

GATINEAU, June 27, 2022

Our arts, culture and heritage sectors have been some of the hardest hit throughout the pandemic, especially organizations that depend on in-person attendance. As tourism begins to recover and visitors gradually return to our theatres, museums and galleries, we continue to be there to help organizations that have been most affected by the impacts of COVID-19...

New Study - Shifting power dynamics: Equity, diversity and inclusion in the nonprofit sector

A new study led by the Equitable Recovery Collective with support from Scotiabank shows that while charities and nonprofits overwhelmingly express support for the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), when it comes to concrete actions many - especially white-led organizations - are doing less than they can and should. The study also shows that organizations with leadership from Black, Indigenous, racialized communities and other underrepresented groups do more to advance EDI, even though they serve some of the highest-need communities, experience increased expectations from funders, and face greater barriers.

Salvation Army Thrift Store

Today we want to highlight an amazing volunteer who is helping at the Salvation Army Thrift Store. Here is what Rae Lynne Friesen the Thrift Store Manager has to say about his dedication.

"Ethan has been a valuable volunteer with the new Salvation Army Thrift Store for the past year, and had volunteered previously at our old location, before it closed back in 2020.
Ethan loves to volunteer with us, and happily comes in 5 days a week. He is happy to keep busy and takes on many duties. He assists with the receiving of donations, helps customers to their vehicles with their purchases, and has even learned to sort, price & display merchandise in the store.
He is very funny, loves what he does & is always willing to help.
Thank You Ethan – You are an amazing part of our team!,”
