The concert of your inner teen's dreams at The Criterion
This Friday, August 11, catch the world-famous nostalgic bands Jimmy Eat World, Manchester Orchestra, and Middle Kids perform at The Criterion in Bricktown.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, with the show kicking off at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased here. Reclaim your teenage angst and jam out to songs bound to bring back memories.

Don't miss a Bollywood themed night of fun at Myriad Gardens
Friday, August 18 at 7 PM, don't miss Dancing in the Gardens: Bollywood. Myriad's Dancing in the Gardens has become a wildly popular event featuring several different types of dance. Each event provides a chance for attendees to learn and experience something new.
This event is co-hosted with the India Association of Oklahoma. Featuring DJ Blake O with performances and instructions from Sainrithya Dance Academy and others. Grab a bite at one of the food trucks and dance the night away at Myriad Gardens.

Watch a movie at Riversport in Bricktown
Head to Riversport Saturday, August 19, for their Floating Films event, “Summer of Adventure!” Hop on a raft, float in a tube, or watch from a lawn chair on the grass. There will also be lots of fun before the movies start, with games, Big Water Grill specials, and bar offerings.
All Floating Films are free to enjoy. Tube and raft rentals are $10 per person. Check out Riversport’s day passes and season membership so you don't miss out on the fun!

DayDream electronica concert at Scissortail Park
If you love electronica dance music (EDM), head to Scissortail Park's outdoor concert, DayDream Saturday, August 26, for music by ATLiens, Inzo, Vampa, and more.
Tickets can be purchased here. From 4 - 10:30 PM, grab some refreshments from a food truck and dance the night away at Scissortail Park.

Empower your community for change
In its sixth year, The Odyssey Project is an annual, signature event dreamed up to raise funds to further the mission of City Care. This year's event will be held at the Santa Fe Parking Garage on Thursday, August 31 at 7 PM. Come experience a night of storytelling, art, and conversation and leave inspired to create change in your community. Tickets can be purchased here.

The Downtown Oklahoma City Business Improvement District (BID) is now accepting applications for the BID Advisory Board. The BID Advisory Board oversees the BID which manages, maintains, and markets the downtown area. In order to serve, applicants must understand and meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must own property within the BID boundary or be the designated representative of a property owner within the BID boundary.
- New board member terms begin October 1, 2023.
- Terms are two years and may be renewed twice for a total of 6 consecutive years of service. The BID Board meets 6 times per year.
Those interested in serving should complete and submit the BID Advisory Board Member Application Form. Applications must be received no later than Wednesday, August 16. If you have questions, please email info@downtownokc.com. For more information on the Downtown BID, visit downtownokc.com/bid.
