This week's activity: Measurements
What is a pound, or a pint? How do we measure what we buy? Market Measurement and unit pricing, connecting back to "What does my $2 token buy?" New activities every week, and a $2 token to spend with local farmers!
If you haven't been to PoP Club yet this season, you can register online and save time, or you can do it the old-fashioned way by heading to the PoP Club table when you arrive at Market. See you there!
This week, Joe Lee invites you to join in a community chalk art composition. A roll of canvas becomes a chalkboard that will eventually become a masterpiece of teamwork and harmony. Be a part of it and leave your mark!
C O M M U N I T Y S P O T L I G H T B O O T H S This week's guests:
Wilderness Awareness School - "We will provide information about our youth and adult year round programs as well as have a table set up with cool nature items and fun small bushcraft projects to learn. We will have handouts and stickers as well."
Empower Youth Network - Empower Youth Network's mission is to promote and inspire youth to lead safe, healthy, and successful lives. Based in Carnation, EYN advances this mission through direct involvement with local youth, and builds a stronger community by cultivating connections between local organizations.
Hopelink Mobility - "We believe affordable, equitable, and collaborative transportation is vital for comprehensive regional prosperity. Our mission is dedicated to connecting families with progressive transportation options and opportunities for all."
Stewardship Partners - Every week, somebody will win a free rain barrel - visit Stewardship Partners at Carnation Farmers Market all season long.
Stewardship Partners's mission is to create people-based solutions that engage Puget Sound communities as caretakers of the land and water that sustain us. Their Snoqualmie Stewardship Program, based in Carnation WA., performs riparian restoration on agricultural lands to improve fish and wildlife habitat. In addition, they promote green stormwater management solutions throughout the valley by educating the community and installing rain gardens, cisterns and rain barrels.
Carnation Farmers Market is now a U.S. government approved retail sales outlet for SNAP/EBT, which provides eligible individuals and families with funds to purchase food. This allows us to serve more people and helps our hard-working local farmers and vendors prosper.

Carnation Farmers Market supports the Snoqualmie Tribe Ancestral Lands Movement: We acknowledge that our market operates on the Indigenous Land of Coast Salish peoples who have sovereign, inherent Tribal rights to this land, specifically the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe (sdukʷalbixʷ). We thank these caretakers of this land who have lived and continue to live here since time immemorial.
How do I honor the land and those who live here?
Be mindful: Respect the land by picking up after yourself and your pets, and stick to designated trails.
Adopt an attitude of reverence: Engage with the land mindfully, appreciating its natural balance, rather than seeking to conquer it.
Educate yourself: Learn more about the Snoqualmie Tribe, their history, and present-day practices.
Acknowledge the land: Recognize that you are enjoying time on Snoqualmie ancestral lands, in both word and action.
Spread the word: Encourage others to learn more about the land and acknowledge its sacred significance to the tribe(s).
THANK YOU
