Please join us for our celebration of the harvest on Saturday, September 23. We will open the farm at 11:00 a.m. with a unique opportunity to watch local plein air artists at work. Ed Penniman and friends will create paintings of Common Roots farm in its fall beauty.
There will be activities for the kids, sheep petting, fair trade gifts for sale from Building for Generations, tours of our farm and the adjacent Coastal Haven pocket neighborhood, a farmstand featuring fresh and bottled farm products, and more.
And don’t forget your farm dancing shoes because live music starts at noon and features The Ten O’Clock Lunch Band!
Purchase tickets here.
This year, your purchase supports people with disabilities not only here at Common Roots, but also among participants at our sister farm in Arusha, Tanzania. Building for Generations is spearheading constructing a home for 20 youth with autism and other developmental disabilities adjacent to their aspiring working farm. Erick’s Youth Home and Farm will provide safe housing to people whose very lives are at risk because of their neurodiversity.
Please bring the whole family and enjoy some fun on the farm on September 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
