Facing Challenges

While many of us practise Wushu, Tai Chi and Qigong for health, fitness and relaxation, one important aim is to improve the ability to face challenges.  Wushu, Tai Chi and many Qigong forms can be traced back to martial arts.  In earlier times, people practised martial arts to defend against physical attacks, which can be life threatening.

In today's world, we face challenges in life, whether they are physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.  Sometimes we feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious or depressed by the difficulties we encounter.   In earlier times,  people developed strength, self-confidence, discipline, courage and resilience through the practice of martial arts to defend themselves.   These qualities continue to help us today to deal with today's life challenges.

The WTQA Festival in September will be a good opportunity for practitioners to get together, to improve their skills and understanding through competition.  Participating in the competition can be a rewarding and fun challenge.  Registration is now open.  Please check below for more information.  Hope to see many of you there.
