While addressing cyber crimes, the police chief expressed concern about the alarming number of seniors falling victim to online scam artists, referring to it as a "tragic" situation. To tackle this issue, the department is actively organizing educational programs to raise awareness among people about deceptive emails and misleading social media posts.

Furthermore, the police chief emphasized that children who have a presence on social media are particularly susceptible to predatory actions. Strangers often attempt to manipulate and exploit them, attempting to arrange meetings for inappropriate and potentially dangerous purposes.

The police have observed instances where individuals pose as minors on various platforms, leading to encounters with their underage cyber contacts. Some of these subjects have traveled long distances to meet these underage individuals in person, which has raised significant concerns and requires immediate attention from law enforcement.

CYBERSECURITY FRAMEWORK PROFILE FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE EXTREME FAST CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE

What is a Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Profile?

A Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Profile represents the outcomes based on business needs that an organization has selected from the NIST CSF Categories and Subcategories. Profiles serve as a useful starting point for identifying cybersecurity activities and outcomes that may be important to the selected group. Profiles can be used to identify opportunities for improving cybersecurity posture by comparing a “Current” Profile (the “as is” state) with a “Target” Profile (the “to be” state). They also offer an organization a consistent way to discuss cybersecurity objectives across organizational roles—from senior leadership to technical implementors—using common terminology. Individuals can use the Profile to prioritize the allocation of resources to cybersecurity improvements or to areas of particular concern.
