Client Testimonial

"Thank you, Jeff, for helping us purchase our happy new home! You listened to what we needed in a house and our long list of "wishes." Who knew finding a home we loved would be the easy part? The real process started with making an offer in a competitive market. Jeff guided us in putting together an offer that we felt comfortable with - but was competitive. After securing the home, Jeff was there every step of the way during inspections, negotiations, and repairs. We truly knew Jeff had our best interest and worked to ease our stress."

Buy or Wait with Interest Loans?

"If you are waiting for interest rates to go back down to historic lows before purchasing a home, please keep this in mind: while there is a greater than 50% chance interest rates decrease in the future; there is also the possibility that current market mortgage interest rates might be at the lowest levels for the next 30 years. Buy a house now before prices go up, financing it with a 30-year fixed rate mortgage so you know your mortgage payment will never be any higher than it is right now, and rent will continue to rise year over year with inflation and appreciation. Buy the house that best fits your family's needs now, and sleep at night knowing your payment will never go up. If, and when, mortgage interest rates decrease, you can always refinance your mortgage and improve your finances to lower your monthly payment or shorten the duration of your mortgage loan term from 30 years to 15 or 20 years."

Community Coffee Meeting

I enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with the
Columbia Connectors and learning from Merritt McNeely about her journey to becoming CEO of Flock and Rally and their approach to crafting amazing brand strategies for their clients.

Meet the Connectors

Merritt (McHaffie) McNeely joined Flock and Rally in 2018, first as VP of marketing, bringing with her an extensive background in marketing, communications and organizational leadership. In June 2020, she was promoted to executive vice president. In September 2022, she was elevated to the role of CEO.

Since 2005, she has been involved with many high-profile events, campaigns, and organizations and is known widely as a leader in the Midlands community. Merritt worked as the executive director for the Five Points Association from 2005-2013 and during her tenure, accomplished numerous vital projects for the neighborhood, including serving as the youngest and first female chair of the annual St. Pat's in Five Points festival.

She is a recipient of the State Media Company's “20 Under 40,” Columbia Regional Business Report’s “Women of Influence”, The Free Times’ Next Most Powerful 50 and Columbia Business Monthly's “50 Most Influential” and “S.C. Women in Business 2022” honors. In addition to years of board service and multiple leadership roles with the Congaree Vista Guild, Merritt served as president of the board from July 2018 to July 2020. In the past, she served on the boards of the Columbia Design League, the Animal Mission and the Babcock Center Foundation. Merritt currently sits on the Five Points Association’s Board of Directors as an at-large member.
