Laurel Hall Students EMBRACE Learning

• We have hired a new 4^th grade teacher, Nicole Bly, a band teacher, Taylor Murphy, as well as a History/Spanish teacher, Peter Stewart.
• We are partnering with a new student lunch provider as Bevaris ended their agreement with the school at the end of last school year.  Organic Kids LA is the vendor and more information about how to sign-up for lunch will be provided very soon.

• The 2023-2024 Laurel Hall School student/parent handbook has been updated and is posted on the school’s home page. 
• Spanish will be taught to students in grades 4-5 once per week and grades 6-8 two times per week.
• Our new robotics units will be incorporated into the technology classes for our middle school students which will be once per week.
• We are very excited and in the midst of converting the Innovation Lab into a student library for use this school year.  Students will have the ability to visit the library and check out books during the school day.
• A new PA system has been approved and installation began this week.  This will assist in communication with the entire campus as needed.
• Please make sure to attend our Welcome Back to School event on 8/30/23 as I look forward to meeting everyone.  Please know that I am very responsive to phone calls, emails, or just stopping by with any concerns or questions you may have.
