8/17 Meeting |
 |
Fun meeting of the Rotary Club of Westerville Thursday. Megan Wood, Executive Director of the Ohio History Connection, educated us on the dozens of things the organization does, including responsibility for our local Hanby House historic site and the efforts to have the Hopewell Mounds near Newark recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site — which would be Ohio’s first. Megan was accompanied by Westerville’s own Jen Aultman, school board member and past president and Ohio History Connection researcher, whose efforts have been key to the World Heritage Site project. President Katrina led the way and member Nicole Marshall was the first to follow her lead to join the District 125 Club using our nifty new Dip to Donate machine. And oh, Eric Gibson got fined by Sergeant at Arms Steve Malik for putting his whole pack of Golf Outing raffle tickets through the wash. Good times. Pictures and caption by Joe Meyer |

We had Otterbein Service Day with ten student volunteers along with Jim Meacham , Sue Staebler and Tom Staebler. We did housekeeping and cleanup tasks for about 15 residents. Photo and caption by Tom Staebler |
