Sharing Sacred Spaces
at Chicago Sinai Congregation
Sunday, Jan. 29, 1-3pm
Chicago Sinai Congregation will open its doors to the general public as well as to visitors from other religious and spiritual communities on Sunday January 29, 2012 between 1-3pm.
This event is the fourth installment of the Sharing Sacred Spaces project, in which eight different religious communities in Chicago are inviting others in for an opportunity to observe, experience and learn what makes their space sacred.
Come and learn about what it means to be called a Classical Reform Jewish congregation. Come and be introduced to Jewish beliefs, rites and practices, this congregation’s theology and its history of social action and advocacy.
Come and experience this distinctive architectural style. The sanctuary is flooded with light, the ascending stairs on the outside of the building have a story all their own to tell and the entire sacred space is welcoming and speaks to the openness of the congregation.
Enjoy this congregation’s hospitality and start up a conversation. Learn how the Jewish faith is expressed in their worship and practice. Bring questions, engage with others.
The doors will be open. Come on in!
