Neighborhood Meeting THURSDAY Regarding 2525 Grand Ave.
The owner of 2525 Grand Avenue is proposing to convert the site into a boutique hotel. It was constructed in 1962 as a Howard Johnson Hotel. In the late 1980s it was converted to efficiency apartments. The new (re)development will include a bar as one of the amenities. Construction is anticipated to begin in late September 2023.
The proposal includes two items that require a conditional use permit from the Zoning Board of Adjustment: The first is to have a bar in the building. The second is to keep the existing pole signs that are on Grand Ave and Ingersoll Ave.
A neighborhood meeting to find out more will be held tomorrow (Thursday), August 17, from 5:30 to 6:30 at 2515 Grand Ave (former doctor's office).
