CAFETERIA UPDATE

Cafeteria FAQs

Q: Did my funds from last year transfer to the 23-24 school year?

A: All positive lunch balances from last year’s Sycamore lunch accounts have been transferred to YCC's accounting system.

Q: Is my child able to have second portions?

A: We encourage students to eat everything on their plate before requesting seconds. Second portions may be purchased for $4 for all Bridge-8th grade students whether they have a meal plan or not. We appreciate your patience as YCC continues making portion adjustments to better serve SML students and staff.

Q: My child has a milk allergy - are vegetables or pasta tossed in butter?

A: YCC limits its use of butter by using olive oil with the vegetables and offering butter on the side for other dishes.

Q: When is the last day to sign up for a Meal Plan?

A: The last day to sign up for a Meal Plan for the 23-24 school year is November 17. Plans are pro-rated based on when you sign up.

Q: How can I restrict what my child purchases?

A: When you create an account for your child, you can specify restrictions that will be noted by the YCC staff as your child goes through the line. View page 24 of the account setup instructions linked below.

Q: Is there pricing for a la carte items and ice cream?

A: Pricing will be published soon for a la carte items and ice cream. Watch for communication from your child's teacher about ice cream/dessert purchase days.
