Greetings friends

How was your Tu b’av – the Hebrew calendar’s best day of the year – the day that celebrates love, and we should celebrate love every day of every year.

Love is a gamble, but it is a gamble whose rewards are immeasurable.  Always take a chance on love because - fear kills more dreams than failure ever will.

So, if you did not celebrate - It is never too late to celebrate - love.  Love is one of the great cycles of life – perhaps it is the greatest cycle with the most intense highs and the most intense lows.

A natural progression of love is we marry and have a family and share the bigger cycle of life with a partner, a mate, and a kindred soul to journey through this lifetime together.

Finding that someone to share with is a major step and one that completes a journey for so many who now have that soul’s mate to share and support and encourage; to entertain; to be entertained by; to grow old with.

There is an underlying concept in Judaism, and we have seen it demonstrated - we can be horrid our whole lives and repent or return - teshuva - that dominant concept that runs through so much of Jewish faith and belief - from the return of the impure or sick to the return of each to the right path - and at the end be forgiven, be accepted.

We get a clue in this reading about how we achieve this – but not until toward the end of the parsha in Deuteronomy 10:12, and it’s not talked about a lot.  We need to take seriously the laws of G0d and follow them and dedicate our hearts to G0d.

The heart – we are told in two instances to open this organ of understanding and love and compassion, and that is what we are told here – as we learn to open others’ hearts to us and the world and our hearts to them and the world.  And if we do what is expected, G0d will open his heart to us and give us these incredible blessings.

This week we read about those blessings in store for us - but – and there’s that huge three-letter word that has so much riding on it.

We are told that if we listen and do, we are in store for great things - if….then – a very conditional choice.

We find that quite normal because we have chosen a bipolar world of opposites to measure existence - good, bad; love, hate; happy, sad; rich, poor; high, low; peace, war.

This week we are introduced to the blessings – but...

Be well, be happy, be healthy, be free, be kind, be forgiving, be compassionate, be independent of mind and deed, be mindful of your intentions, and be good to yourself.  Continue to celebrate freedom of choice in your life and do not give in to the fear which is so prevalent, and enjoy the peace that comes from acceptance – and as always - if you have any questions or suggestions or want to say “hi,” please send me an email.  I love hearing from you.

And remember, anytime you do not want to receive these anymore, please send me an email so I can remove you.  And know - that I truly appreciate your sharing your sacred time with me.

Enjoy and celebrate your life and the lives of others, and in doing, be safe, my friends, be happy, and may you all sow the seeds of and reap the rewards of peace and love and miracles and make sure you also celebrate your unique individuality and your incredible awesomeness.

Continue celebrating love; continue celebrating freedom; send renewal and goodwill out to everyone in the world – it is an energy that cannot be stopped - and remember – your world is what you make it.  Just wish upon a star and continue to be a miracle in someone’s life and light the light of love.

Blessings
