We have the “happiest update”!

Ginger “before”

Ginger “after”!

Ginger … safe, healthy and grateful!

Do you remember Ginger?  In mid-July, this sweet little stray was in the wrong place at the wrong time.  She was attacked by another dog and as a result, suffered a fractured skull, bite lacerations to her face and a severly injured eye which required removal.  HHS rushed Ginger to the vet where successful surgery was performed and she was subsequently placed in a loving foster home to recover.

Ginger thrived in her foster home and, despite her rather massive injuries, recovered to become a sweet, playful, gentle puppy with a much brighter future!

On our HHS Facebook page, we quickly requested your help with financial donations to assist with her veterinary bills.  You, our faithful supporters, responded as you always do and Ginger’s bills were quickly covered - along with enough left over to pay her transport costs to a new home!

Today Ginger departed Acworth with her Road Trip Home buddies en route to Augusta, Maine where we are sure she’ll find her furever home quickly.  She is a jewel of a pup!

THANK YOU to everyone who stepped up to help Ginger.  She got a second chance at life because of your kindness and generosity.  We are grateful beyond words!
