Join SYVJC as We Set Sail on August 20th on a Naturalist Guided Boat Trip on Lake Cachuma

SYVJC invites you to join them on August 20th for a Naturalist guided tour of Lake Cachuma. We will gather at the Marina at 9:30 am for a brief talk by the Naturalist, and then climb aboard the boat for a 90 minute tour of the lake. We will see things not visible from the shore and get information about the lake. For this adventure, bring binoculars if you wish, wear comfortable shoes, preferably rubber soled, wear sunscreen and a hat that won’t blow off.

The cost is only $18 per adult and $12 per child 5-12 years old. Children under 5 are not permitted to sail. Please use the payment button below to reserve 1 or more seats – do not pay thru the County Park’s website. After you have paid, please email Shoshanah with the full names of everyone in your group. Please do not hit reply, as that will send your email to someone else. Seating is limited. The deadline to prepay for seats is August 16th. Please note: if you do not have a County Park’s pass on your windshield, the entrance fee at Cachuma is $10 cash per car, so carpooling is advised.

After the tour, we will gather at Hook’d Bar and Grill for a no host lunch. We hope to see you on the 20th!

Reserve Your Seats for the Lake Cachuma Boat Trip

This will be a casual get together on Shabbat afternoon, at a private home.  Attendees can have a one-on-one chat with Rabbi Debi, getting to know her better and letting her get to know them better. Appetizers and beverages will be served.

The deadline to RSVP to Shoshanah is August 23rd. The address will be given upon receipt of your RSVP.

RSVP for Sunflower Sundays!

Please make your donation to SYVJC, by the Saturday prior to the Sunday you wish to participate. Please use the payment button below to make your payment and RSVP or use Paypal or other electronic means. If you need to pay by check, please make it payable to SYVJC, and mail it to P.O. Box 135, Los Olivos, CA 93441.

Directions will be given upon receipt of a prepaid RSVP.

SYVJC NEEDS YOU!

Homes Needed for Shabbat Services

After the High Holy Days, SYVJC will start its 2023-24 program year of services and holiday celebrations, and host homes will be needed. SYVJC appreciates our hosts and hopes you can help. Please contact Shoshanah to check on dates needing hosts, ask questions about doing this and to offer your home. Our helper ladies and security are provided by SYVJC. Anything else that might be needed can be discussed. Host homes should be reasonably easy to locate, with good parking.

Thank you!
