Dear <<First Name>>,

I’m so happy to be with my good friend, Henry Yao, MLA for Richmond South Centre 姚君憲, 列治文 南中區 省議員, this week along with MLA Kelly Greene at his Constituency Office’s Grand Opening!
I’ve seen firsthand MLA Henry Yao’s tireless dedication to our community through his continuous strong advocacy at the Legislature in Victoria and his larger than life presence in the beautiful Richmond community.

The Haida Nation Eagle spirit gives us vision and insight. It’s evident that MLA Henry Yao is a leader in our communities. Thank you for having me to be part of this milestone!

I had a wonderful day with Mayor Patrick Van Minsel to extensively tour the District of Peachland to understand firsthand their priorities and upcoming development opportunities.

I also sat down with Peachland Chamber of Commerce to listen to local business owners’ concerns and passionate feedback.

I’m committed to supporting growing communities to maintain their character and vibrancy!
Here are some things I'd like to share with you from the past week:

To keep people safer and more informed during emergencies, the province is providing funding to 19 communities, including Burnaby, to develop and upgrade emergency-evacuation-route plans and public-notification plans.

More communities will be able to strengthen their emergency evacuation plans and their strategies to notify the public in case of emergency thanks to funding from the Community Emergency Preparedness Fund.

The BC CRN has received a grant of $4.2 million in provincial funding to support Community Response Networks (CRNs) throughout the province for the next three years. Eighty-six CRNs in more than 256 communities in B.C. bring seniors and community representatives together to create a co-ordinated community response to abuse, neglect and self-neglect of vulnerable adults, as well as spread awareness of elder abuse.
