Researchers Narayanan and Kapoor Make TIME's Inaugural 100/AI List
|
|
CITP Director Arvind Narayanan and CITP graduate student Sayash Kapoor made history last week when they landed on the inaugural TIME100 AI list — and on the cover of the prestigious magazine. The issue recognizes leaders who are shaping the public discussion around artificial intelligence. Narayanan and Kapoor are the creators of the "AI Snake Oil" newsletter and an upcoming book by the same name. Read their TIME interview.

Indian Journalist Selected as First-Ever Digital Witness Fellow
|
|
Award-winning independent journalist Srishti Jaiswal, who has covered politics, tech and poverty for various publications, including Al Jazeera, Vice World News and Caravan Magazine, has been selected to be the CITP Digital Witness Lab's inaugural Digital Witness fellow. She will support the Lab's WhatsApp Watch project. Read more about the fellowship.

Machine Learning and Law Expert Peter Henderson to Join CITP in '24

CITP is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 cohort of our in-residence, fully-funded Fellows Program. This competitive program offers three tracks: postdoctoral research associate, visiting professional, and Microsoft Visiting Professor. Applicants may apply to one or more tracks. Visit our Fellows Program page for application details. The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Friday, December 1, 2023. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if the position has not been filled.
