Delaware Botanic Gardens in September is a paradise of colors and textures that showcase the charm of early fall. From the radiant sunflowers and the elegant asters to the goldenrod and muhly grass, each element contributes to a harmonious symphony of nature's beauty. The transition from summer to autumn is a time of celebration, and the gardens provide the perfect setting to immerse oneself in the splendor of this seasonal shift.

Late Summer Meadow

At the heart of this picturesque scene is the diligent care provided by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Their unwavering commitment ensures that the Delaware Botanic Gardens remains a haven of natural beauty, welcoming visitors to immerse themselves in its serene atmosphere. Through their collective efforts they maintain the garden's pristine condition, working tirelessly to preserve its allure throughout the changing seasons.

This harmonious blend of human stewardship and nature's wonders results in an environmentally friendly botanic garden that is both a sanctuary for wildlife and a source of inspiration for all who visit.

We would love for you to join us and help us grow in the garden! During the summer we have many plants to water and keep in check. Aggressive plants and weeds can take over quickly, so we need all the help we can get. Volunteering with DBG this season is a rewarding opportunity for you to contribute to our cause.

DBG is growing and has positions available for Point of Sale, Greeters, Garden Stewards and Docents, and we hope to see you soon!
