You are invited to the new member orientation Thursday, September 7, in Weis Cinema at Bertelsmann Student Center Bard College, beginning with a social hour from 9 am to 10 am. The program will start at 10 am. Following the program, campus tours will be conducted.
Please drop in during the social hour and enjoy coffee, tea, muffins, and other light refreshments. If you have not already picked up your name badge, the badges, and lanyards will be available for you. This is a good opportunity to meet other new members, LLI Council members, and volunteers.
Robert Beaury, LLI president, will welcome you to our LLI community and explain our relationship with Bard College. Curriculum chair Linda LeGendre will explain how our classes are presented each term. Carmela Gersbeck, who is in charge of Program Support, will review the information on our website and how to register for classes and events through ProClass. The Membership Development chair, Robert Inglish, will emcee the event and go over parking, classrooms, student IDs, and how volunteers make everything at LLI work smoothly.
Following the hour-long program, you are encouraged to take a guided tour of the campus highlighting food venues, classroom and event buildings, and parking options.
For this event, parking is available near the Student Center. If you have already registered your car online and have picked up your parking pass from Security, please display the pass in your car. If you already have your badge and lanyard, please wear it.
