Kia ora <<First Name>>,
How is it September already?! The past few weeks have flown by with BETA testing for Plan My Walk, exciting recruitment underway, kicking off our Plan My Walk summer campaign planning, and prepping for our biggest-ever month of firearms courses. Plus, it's been another eventful month in the alpine space with our avalanche safety campaign in full swing.
Remember to check avalanche.net.nz before any backcountry alpine adventures. Wishing everyone a safe and successful month ahead!

Plan My Walk new features: BETA testing is complete
We're one step closer to releasing our new Plan My Walk features: Custom Tracks and Custom Gear Lists. 143 people shared feedback during our BETA testing process. This helped us spot a couple of potential bugs, identify areas for future improvement, and better understand how people intuitively use the features and where they might need a bit of a hand.
Overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive. We couldn't be happier, and we can't wait to share more. Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback during this process.

Snowpack conditions spark strong avalanche safety concerns
NZ Avalanche Advisory forecasters continue to see unpredictable snowpack conditions, specifically a Persistent Weak Layer in several South Island forecasting regions, and a high volume of avalanche activity. In August, several partner organisations helped us give avalanche safety messaging an urgent push. Thank you to everyone who shared content - every reiteration of the message helps!
