Expanding Storage Services for Research Data

Next-generation research at the Lab is expected to generate many petabytes of data per year. The success of these big data projects demands a high-performance data pipeline. To address this critical need, ScienceIT offers the Science Project Storage Service (SPSS), a performant, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective storage solution. Zoom Release Notes, August 2023

Zoom provides up-to-date release notes for new features and enhancements. This month, the IT Division Audio Visual group (AV) is highlighting tools to help staff troubleshoot connectivity issues for Zoom meetings and manage Zoom cloud recordings. Reading time: 5 minutes

Zoom Cloud Recording Policy

The Zoom cloud recording feature allows hosts to record to Zoom’s cloud server. The lbl.gov Zoom account has a storage limit that is shared across the organization. Cloud recordings will be deleted automatically after 30 days to ensure that the feature remains available to everyone. Reading time: 3 minutes
